This journal welcomes original papers
that pertain to state-of-the art research and development, product development,
novel applications, and tools in the areas related to advanced
manufacturing. The journal addresses the utilization of Advanced Manufacturing
Systems (AMS), and AMS technologies that result in higher productivity and
better customer value are emphasized.
Topics:
up
Major technical research areas include
use of materials of different types (metallic materials,
polymers, ceramics, nanomaterials, composites, etc.),
manufacturing processes (casting, forming, shaping, machining, additive
processes, micromanufacturing, joining, surface
treatments, etc.), and machines and appropriate tooling. Other pertinent areas include Assembly
engineering, Design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA), automation, robot
applications, FMS, quality engineering, CAD/CAM integration, concurrent
engineering, process planning, production planning and control, information
sharing and networking, and virtual systems.
Paper submission:
up
The journal will publish only
original, quality papers. Send the original manuscript by e-mail to the Chief
Editor, Prof. Suren N. Dwivedi,
at the following address:
dwivedi@louisiana.edu. Articles and other material published in IJAMS
represent the opinions of the authors and should not be construed to reflect
the opinions of the Editors or the Publisher.
When the author submits a manuscript, it is
with the understanding that if it is accepted for publication, then copyright
of the article belongs exclusively to the Publisher. This includes the right to

a header in font size 12 regular at the top left of the first page; place the
name of each author as a header in the same size at the top left of all
even-numbered pages; place the title of the article as a header in the same
size at the top left of all odd-numbered pages, starting with page 3. Articles

first referenced. The font throughout must uniformly be Times New Roman. The
title must be in font size 14, bold, centered and in all caps. The name(s) of the
author(s) should immediately follow in font size 13, bold, and centered. The
title(s) of the author(s) should follow along with the company or institution
name, complete address, telephone, e-mail address in font size 12, regular, and
centered. The words “Abstract”, “Introduction”, and all other main titles
should be in font size 13, bold, in all caps, and aligned left. Subtitles
should be font size 13, bold, aligned left, and underlined. Sub-subtitles
should follow the same formatting, but without underlining. The titles of
figures, tables, and pictures should be font size 13, bold, and centered. The
text of the paper should be font size 12 and justified. Page 1 should contain a
short abstract of about 250 words, including a listing of key words. All acronyms
should be spelled out where first used. Papers should be typed using MS Word,
single-spaced with two columns, and new paragraphs should be indented. in the manuscript, including references to related work. The
Publisher will not place any restrictions on the personal freedom of the

be limited to about 12 pages, 20 pages being the maximum.
3. Abbreviations:
Customary abbreviations will be accepted,
and the authors are recommended to employ Système
International (metric) units.
4.
Tables and figures:
Tables and figures should be completely
understandable, independent of the text, given a title, and consecutively
numbered with Arabic numerals.
5. Footnotes:
Footnotes should be used sparingly and should be
indicated by consecutive numbers in the text. Acknowledgments, grant numbers,
or any other credits should be given as a separate footnote on the last page of
the manuscript.
6. References:
All sources cited in the text must be numbered. In
references, the last name should be listed first, followed with initials for
the first and middle names for the author. References should be complete with
the author(s), year, title, publication, volume, issue, and the page numbers.
